TCA Peel

Service Description

TCA is a 5 on our scale of Level 0-5 peels meaning it is our deepest peel. TCA gets its power by HOW it is applied – which is by coats or layers. For new clients we generally apply 1-2 layers for a full series of 6-8 In future peels we work our way up to 3, 4 and 5 layers. The more layers applied– the deeper the peel will penetrate into the layers of the skin – and of course, the more benefits you will obtain. With this depth, this means that there can be more, larger flakes/peeling – and that you may need or want to plan some “down time” into your treatment. So keep in mind that it will take between 9 and 11 days for your skin to be completely peeled. You will have about 3 days before anything starts to come off – and then about 6 days or so of light to medium flaking. So work that into your calendar as you plan your peels. Peels are recommended to done in a series because although you will see results form one, it takes time to build up strengths and realize the end result. They are not a one and done no matter the peel. It is always highly recommended to pre and post treat your skin with any chemical peel. ESPECIALLY if you struggle with dark spots. Here are the pre and post treatment recommedations: 1) An Acid Cleanser Normal to sensitive skin: Professional Pre Treatment Foaming Cleanser Normal or Combination skin (oily at times or minor breakouts): Oxygen Deep Pore Cleanser Acne Prone Skin: Sal X Purifying Cleanser 2) Acid Serum to lighten spots, reduce lines and thin the top layers of the skin so the chemical can evenly penetrate: Sensitive Skin: Living Cell Clarifyer All other skin types and especially those dealing with dark spots: Diamond Bright (am & pm) Retinol Restart Serum (pm only) 3) Moisturizer and SPF Photo Age SPF 30
